Hot temperatures and no sandstorm at Hercules Trophy Abu Dhabi

By:

Hot temperatures and no sandstorm at Hercules Trophy Abu Dhabi. Weather forecasts predicted sandstorms and very unpleasant weather for 22nd April, the date of the Daman Hercules Trophy in Abu Dhabi. Fortunately, the weather gods must have been in favour of Hercules that day, because the skies were clear with 30° C and there was a pleasant breeze. A huge relief for the Hercules participants and crew!

Zayed Sports City once again proved to be the perfect spot for a truly Herculean day. The afternoon started off very well: After the team registration and terribly difficult brain labour, we started with an easy warming-up, done by the fitness experts from The Room Abu Dhabi. We welcomed former Judo athlete Tom Reed to carry the torch at the opening ceremony accompanied by the Hercules evergreen song Carmina Burana. We started off with the Climb the Mountain, Rescue 911 and Waiters Race, followed by The Room Shape Circuit, Ripslinger Catapult, Eliminator and pétanque.
