Work Well @ Allianz with Hercules Academy

Allianz Benelux is an important player on the market for insurance and financial services. The company offers a full range of products and services for individuals, the self-employed, SME’s and large companies regarding general insurance. Allianz has around 2.000 employees in the Benelux and is an affiliate of Allianz Group, world leader in insurance and asset management.

In 2014, Allianz introduced Work Well, an initiative to stimulate the wellbeing of the employees. Allianz organizes projects with the goal to improve physical and mental health and to create a comfortable working environment.  The company aims to stimulate the employees to live and work healthy, this all with the global goal of having satisfied and motivated stakeholders. Next to these items, Work Well aims to prevent work related stress.

In this context, a collaboration with the Hercules Academy was founded in 2016.

Serge Haubourdin and Sabine Appelmans of the Hercules Academy were asked to host several sessions on three different topics (Mindfulness, Sleep Baby Sleep and Move@Allianz) in Belgium. On top of those three sessions, Serge Haubourdin hosted a burnout prevention seminar for Allianz’s management and employees. More than 15% of the employees subscribed for the sessions that were being held during their lunch break. This success proves the current theme of the Work Well program intrigues them as well as the Hercules Academy sessions fitted neatly in the overall theme.

Due to the success, Allianz and Hercules Academy are now looking to broaden their collaboration within a Benelux context for the next upcoming years.
