Hercules Trophy Antwerp launched. We’re proud to announce the very first edition of the Hercules Trophy in Antwerp, Belgium, on 21 May 2016. The Hercules Trophy will be organized in collaboration with the City of Antwerp,Voka-Flemish Chamber of Commerce Antwerp-Waasland and Port of Antwerp Giants.

The trendy, recently renewed site of Park Spoor Noord in the centre of Antwerp will be the venue of the Hercules Trophy. Video of the Press Conference held on 10 December 2015.

Luc Luwel, Managing Director at the Antwerp Chamber of Commerce: “A solid network is vital for every entrepreneur. We stimulate networking events throughout the year between companies and policy makers on regional, national and international level. By endorsing the Hercules Trophy, we want to give a new push to informal contacts between companies. We will of course have our own Hercules teams too.

Antwerp alderman for Sport Ludo Van Campenhout:”Antwerp offers a broad range of sport activities to our citizens, from recreational activities to high-level professional sports. We also want to inspire as many business people as possible to a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The Hercules Trophy is the climax in our healthy lifestyle campaign, because the event doesn’t require athletic skills. Everybody at the office can join. I visited the Hercules Trophy in Mechelen earlier this year and I realized that it’s the perfect event for our city. It’s our ambition to become the biggest Hercules Trophy in Belgium.

Chairman of the Port of Antwerp Giants, Roger Roels:”Sport has the power to unite people. That’s exactly what we experience at our basketball club. We are delighted to partner with a professional, international organisation like Hercules Trophy as they have found the perfect means to bring our fans, players and business members together.

When asked why he opted for a second Belgian city, Yves Vekemans, founder and CEO at Hercules Trophy replied:”Antwerp is the economic motor of this country. The choice for Antwerp, the Chamber and the Giants is a very logic one for our organisation. We already have a lot of Hercules fans from Antwerp. We now want to offer them proximity.”
